The Oahu Akialoa.~~ No 7 of 100 series- ~ signed watercolor print

I recently painted 100 extinct birds as part of a project was called 100 Birds You Will Never See Again. The main purpose was to bring awareness to extinct birds as well as honor each one. These birds are truly lost gems. The reality is that you, your children, and future generations will never get to meet these lost birds.

The Oahu Akialoa.

The unique Oʻahu ʻAkialoa .  This little dapper insect eater from the  island of Oʻahu in the Hawaiian Islands was found high in the forests.

  Now gone...


Extinct in 1940.
