I recently painted 100 extinct birds as part of a project was called 100 Birds You Will Never See Again. The main purpose was to bring awareness to extinct birds as well as honor each one. These birds are truly lost gems. The reality is that you, your children, and future generations will never get to meet these lost birds.

The Guadalupe Caracara

A debonair Guadalupe Caracara in a hat from the Guadalupe Island. It was driven to extinction by a hunting and poisoning campaign led by goat herders.

Now Gone ... Extinct 1903.
