I recently painted 100 extinct birds as part of a project that was called 100 Birds You Will Never See Again. The main purpose was to bring awareness to extinct birds as well as honor each one. These birds are truly lost gems. The reality is that you, your children, and future generations will never get to meet these lost birds.

The Pink Headed Duck

A Pink-Headed Duck in his dashing Greek Fisherman hat.  These large diving ducks from India have not been seen in over 60 years.. Although, they are on the Critically Endangered List, most experts believe they are gone....

  Extinct 1950.
