I recently painted 100 extinct birds as part of a project that was called 100 Birds You Will Never See Again. The main purpose was to bring awareness to extinct birds as well as honor each one. These birds are truly lost gems. The reality is that you, your children, and future generations will never get to meet these lost birds.

The New Zealand Little Bittern

A beautiful New Zealand Little Bittern n her purple scarf.  These little bitterns could  be found on the salt-water lagoons and on the sea shore in New Zealand.
