I recently painted 100 extinct birds as part of a project that was called 100 Birds You Will Never See Again. The main purpose was to bring awareness to extinct birds as well as honor each one. These birds are truly lost gems. The reality is that you, your children, and future generations will never get to meet these lost birds.

A New Zealand Raven. New Zealand Ravens were common in open country around the coasts. but were extinct even before Europeans visited the country. Now Gone.... extinct 16th century.


Now Gone.... extinct 1500s.
